Lingerie Buying Guide for Men

Buying lingerie for a significant other can be a real challenge for some men, so here are some points to think about when choosing what to get her.

It's not about you!

Whatever you buy, remember, she's the one who has to wear it. It may be sexy, it may be downright erotic, but it also has to feel comfortable for her to wear. It should also flatter her figure. The air-brushed beauties in the photos may well look fantastic, but remember, these are professional models who don't have the hang-ups that most women in the real world have to contend with. Mature women in particular are extremely self conscious where their bodies are concerned. So, if she has issues with her tummy, her bottom, the size of her thighs or any other area of her body, avoid buying lingerie that is going to highlight these much loathed areas. If in doubt, ask one of her friends.

Get her size right!

Buying the right size is crucial. Again, you can ask one of her friends, or you can have a rummage through her underwear drawer when she's out. The label on any pair of briefs will give you her knicker size, usually expressed in words, e.g. Small, Medium, Large, XLarge or sometimes numerically as 10, 12, 14, etc. A quick look at one of her blouses will give you her dress size (required for chemises, babydolls, gowns etc.) and, again will be expressed as above. The label on one of her bras will reveal her bra size, expressed as 32B, 36C, 34DD etc.
